SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

AWARD:

EIGHT $2,000 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR USE AT ANY ACCREDITED

UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE

IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA

Awards to be received in TWO CONSECUTIVE annual $1,000 payments.

Awards made payable, jointly, to the winner and the educational institution.

Awards must be used beginning the year of the drawing.

Winners to be Selected by Lot

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant must be a current graduating senior of any High School, public or private, within the jurisdiction of Minnesota Teamsters Joint Council No. 32
Applicant, or father, mother or guardian must be a member in good standing of a Teamsters Union affiliatedthe Minnesota Teamsters Joint Council No. 32 or a member on lay-off status who has a valid withdrawal card, has recall rights, and was a member of good standing at the time of lay-off, a son or daughter of a retired,diseased member of an affiliated Local who was in good standing in his or her Local Union at the time of retirement,disablement or death.
Academic eligibility based on a "B" average, or better. )2.0 in a 3.0 grade point system/3.0 in a 4.0 grade point system.

REQUIRED APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Contact your Local Union office for application
Complete application form.
Submit official High School transcript bearing the official school seal.
Submit two letters of reference - one from a former teacher.
Mail completed application form, transcript and letters of reference to your Local Union office. The Local Union forward it to Minnesota Teamsters Joint Council No. 32.
Must be postmarked no later than February 15 of the current year.
Submit only one application. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
